Morning Thought: At the Red Sea, God first parted the waters and then Israel crossed over. But the second time, at the Jordan, the Lord had them step into the waters before he parted them. I sense the Lord wants to move us from just waiting for a miracle, to stepping into the thing itself. As you step into the impossible, Jesus makes it possible. It was as the disciples passed out the few pieces of bread and fishes that the multiplication happened. We tend to wait for the multiplication and then start passing things out. The Father wants to change us. First, hear God’s Word. Then, act in faith before the miracle and you will see God’s glory. “It shall come about when the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan will be cut off, and the waters which are flowing down from above will stand in one heap” (Joshua 3:13, NASB).
