New York Morning Thought: The Gospel is so simple that a child can understand it, and yet so sublime that a scholar can never fully fathom its depths. Don’t forget the simplicity and sublimity of Jesus’ good news. My mom reminded me of the simple Gospel: Jesus alone saves. This simple Gospel is child-like, but never childish. The apostles proclaimed, “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12, NASB).
