Morning Thought: God uses the weak things of the world to overturn the strong. Samson was weaponless, but surrounded by hostile forces. He looked around him and saw a dead donkey jawbone. Picking it up, he slayed a thousand Philistines. The real spiritual warrior doesn’t need a stockpile of weapons. It’s the Spirit of God that makes you strong. And like Samson, Jesus wants to take you into his hands – dead, raw and broken – and use you as a weapon against the forces of darkness. “The Philistines came toward him shouting. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. The ropes on his arms became like charred flax, and the bindings dropped from his hands. Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men” (Judges 15:14-15, NIV).
