Your Achilles’ Heel

Morning Thought: Have you heard of ‘Achilles’ heel’? In Greek Mythology, Achilles was an outstanding warrior, unable to be defeated. Paris wasn’t a great warrior, but he was good with a bow and arrow, and discovered Achilles only weak spot, his heel. Consequently, Paris shot Achilles in the place of his vulnerability, bringing him to his death. The enemy also knows your Achilles’ heel. It may be some girl or guy, a car, a certain job offer, a doctor’s report or promise of fame. Whatever it may be, today, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Mark‬ ‭14:38‬, ‭NIV‬‬).

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. In 1999 I migrated to Australia, married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted a church and Bible School. We are now the proud parents of four children ranging in age from five to eighteen. We are still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
