Don’t Lose Your Identity

Morning Thought: If you don’t know your identity you will fight against your brothers and sisters rather than celebrate them. The older brother in the story of the Prodigal Son became angry with his younger brother. Why? Because the older brother forgot who he was. He became disconnected with his father’s heart, and consequently lost his heart for his brother. Unless we reunite with the Father’s heart, there’ll be nothing but disunity in the church. But, when we see things through the Father’s eyes, we will abound with love for one another. “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours” (Luke‬ ‭15:31,‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. In 1999 I migrated to Australia, married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted a church and Bible School. We are now the proud parents of four children ranging in age from five to eighteen. We are still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
