Self-Confidence

Morning Thought: Self-confidence is limited and very deceptive. It will help you to start walking, even standing tall. But then, you’ll end up flat on your face, wondering why your teeth are cracked and your nose is broken. God-confidence is a whole other thing. Putting your trust in God will get you up and sustain you through the varying terrains of life. Finding your strength in God will never let you down. “Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence” (‭1 Cor.‬ ‭10‬:‭11-12‬ MSG).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
