Morning Thought: Your Father has promised to instruct, teach and counsel you in the way you should go. But first you need to be broken before the Lord. A horse has tremendous power, but it’s only useful to the owner when it’s broken. It’s the same with you and I. Our will has to come into submission to our Master for him to properly guide us. And ultimately, he guides us through our close relational walk with him. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you” (Psalm 32:8-9 NIV).
