Dig Out the Dirt

Morning Thought: The Philistines envied the blessing on Isaac’s life and so stopped up his father’s wells. In the same way, the world, our own sinful desires and the devil try to block our wells. Did you know that God’s people are called to be springs of living water bringing eternal life to the world? But to be that we need to dig out the dirt – the dirt of distractions, disappointments and evil desires. Let’s start digging! “Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them.” (Genesis 26:18 NIV; see also, John 7:37-38)

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
