Salvation is of the Jews

Morning Thought: We are appalled at the barbaric terrorist attack on Jews at Bondi Beach (14 December 2025). As Christians, we have a debt of gratitude to our Jewish brothers and sisters. Without the Jews, there is no Bible. Furthermore, our Messiah was and is Jewish — he is the son of Abraham and the son of David (Matthew 1). Jesus himself said, “For salvation is from the Jews” (John 4:22). At this time and at all times, we must cover our Jewish family in prayer and stand with them in support. This goes way beyond politics. It concerns human dignity and God’s historic work. We pray along with David, “Quickly redeem Israel from all their distress!” (Ps. 25:22, IT). פְּדֵ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִ֝כֹּ֗ל צָֽרוֹתָיו (Lexham Hebrew Bible).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
