Dire Straits

Morning Thought: When the Israelites were in dire straits they would bring out the ark of the covenant – the place where God’s glory dwelt. Today, those who are in Jesus and fear The Lord are like the ark. In you the glory resides. When God wants to defeat a stronghold (like ancient Jericho) he sends you. Be confident that God is with you and working powerfully around you. There is nothing like God’s presence and Word to weaken, and ultimately collapse, the walls of the enemy. “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b NIV.
