Surviving the Wilderness

Morning Thought: Scripture is like the ground where the manna of God’s living Word miraculously materializes for the hungry believer. Through the Bible the hungry are fed and the self-satisfied are left empty-handed. Like the Israelites in the wilderness, we should arise early, seek out, and bend low to gather and feast on the sweet, yet savory bread from heaven. “Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day…Each morning everyone gathered as much as they needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away. The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.” (Exodus 16:4, 21, 31 NIV)

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
