Giving and Receiving

Morning Thought: Paul praised the Philippians for sharing in the ministry of ‘giving and receiving.’ He put ‘giving’ first because it is more blessed to give than receive. Yet, receiving is important too. Paul marries ‘giving and receiving’ together. If you give, you will receive. Jesus gave everything on the cross and received an eternal Kingdom. Put giving into practice today and watch God open the windows of heaven over you. Paul writes, “When I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only…And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:15, 19‬, NIV‬‬).
